Photo I: Deepening Your Technical Knowledge
Instructor: Robin Ward
This course will build upon the material covered in Photo I: Intro to Digital Photography. Students will expand on the technical skills gained in Photo I by digging more deeply into exposure, metering, white balance and flash. We will explore focal systems and how to achieve focus in varying conditions as well as experiment with semi-automatic modes to find a system that compliments your shooting style. Students will work with new tools to enhance an understanding of lighting. This course will allow students to take their understanding of exposure to the next level and help them become more comprehensive photographers. Students will need an 18% gray card and a 12” collapsible photography reflector as well as have an understanding of the manual capabilities of their camera. We will continue to use Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson from Photo 1. Please bring your camera to the first class. Participants must have taken Photo I: Introduction to Digital Photography or have permission from the instructor to take the course.
