Master Class with Pattie Chalmers
Join Shaping Memories: Expressions in Clay exhibiting artist Pattie Chalmers for a master class inspired by her artist viewpoint and process. Pattie Chalmers will share low-tech and digital methods for building up illustrative and patterned clay surfaces. Chalmers will demonstrate low relief clay carving, paper lithography, laser copy with slip mono-printing, stenciling, and several other simple image transfer techniques. In this workshop, you will learn these approaches for transferring, carving, and collaging, images, patterns, and color and will practice these skills on terra cotta tiles. There will be a brief lunch break so please bring a bag lunch.
