Master Class with Megan Angolia

Join Made in VA exhibiting artist Megan Angolia for a master class inspired by her artistic viewpoint and process. By blending traditional ceramic methods with contemporary content, she creates sculpted portraits of women suspended in candid emotion. Angolia’s truthful portraits serve to showcase the richness of the human experience in all its moments.

In this workshop, you’ll hear from the artist how to sculpt an expressive face in clay and learn to capture the anatomical components of a person's likeness by sculpting a face in dynamic expression. Basic sculpting experience is recommended but not required. There will be a brief lunch break, so it’s best to bring a bag lunch.
