Calligraphy II: The Italic Hand Uppercase Letters

This course will build upon the material covered in Calligraphy I: Italic. Majuscules or Upper Case Italic letters are designed to go beautifully with the Lowercase or Minuscule letters. They stem from the Roman Capitals that are inscribed into the Trajan Column in Rome. You will be using the broad-edged marker as you study this portion of the Italic alphabet. In addition, you will be introduced to using a dip pen, which will give you a wider variety of effects. Students must have taken Calligraphy I: Italic or be familiar with lowercase italics.
